All Suzene wanted was a safe place to put her children to sleep.
A mother of two young children, abandoned by her husband, she faced the responsibility of caring for her family alone. Then, during a powerful storm in Malawi, her small home was destroyed, leaving Suzene and her children without shelter or security.
Through the Life Foundation and the generosity of Mrs. Alice Zaff, a new home was built for the family. Today, her children have a safe place to sleep, a roof to protect them from the rain, and a home to call their own.
The care continues through monthly support from our friend Alessandra Souza, helping Suzene provide for her family’s daily needs.
For some, it was the construction of a house. For Suzene, it meant rebuilding a mother’s sense of security and two children’s hope.
Because helping also means saying, through our actions: “You are not alone.”
