Dekesi Kadinga, approximately 70 years old, lived alone in a small mud-and-thatch house in Malawi. With few resources and often struggling with hunger, his life was already filled with hardship.
Then a powerful storm destroyed his home, taking away the little he had and leaving him without a place to live.
After learning his story, Missionary Eliane Silva decided to sponsor him, providing monthly support for his basic needs. Through the Life Foundation, that care went even further: a new home was built for Dekesi.
Where there was once mud and thatch, there is now a home. Where there was uncertainty, there is now security, food, and dignity.
To many, it may seem like just a house and monthly assistance. To Dekesi, it means knowing that he is not alone and has not been forgotten.
